Forecasting

1. Quote budget records are now based on Accounting category instead of Product Category

2. Custom metadata type Forecast management is used for forecast calculation (to be released) and quote budgets.

• Default Accounting category Id: if product isn’t linked to an accounting category, revenue is assigned to this category

• Default business segment: if business segment is missing from quote (or reservation), revenue is linked to this business segment

Scheduler

Ability to display up to three instances of the scheduler Ability to display up to three separate schedulers at the same time on one screen in order to see multiple types of events in one view.

• When two instances or more schedulers are displayed in the schedulerone screen, different heights can be set up to make viewing easier

• When scheduler is opened from action button, user’s preferences are kept

On Quote Hotel Room and Quote Meeting Room messages display to alert the user when changes occur due to rate plan, room type update or overbooking process

New Fields on Room Type

We created fields to display the size (sqm or sqft) for spaces

Quicker reference for users on the sizes of the various spaces in the hotel. For normal users this field is read only. Users with administrator rights can also edit the data

We created a field to display the numbers of elevators in the property

Multi-Delete Flow

We have added check boxes to the records in the Meeting Room object that makes it easier for users to select and multi-delete records.

Users are able to use functionality they are used to from other applications to multi-delete selected items which enhances the user experience

New Tab Icons

Some icons were not intuitive for users and did not align with the function they were associated with

Icons are more visually appealing and in line with the tab function they are associated with

Quote Product and Quote Meeting Room Interactions

The link between the these two objects was not strong enough and required too many clicks or field updates.

1. On Quote Products, the date values are calculated based on the start / end time or Myce Quote arrival date.

2. When Meeting rooms are added to a particular quote, then start / end dates are updated as per the Quote Product. In addition, when times of meeting rooms are changed, associated Quote Product timings are updated in line with the values of the Meeting Room.

3. The new custom button “Create Resource” on the Quote Product allows the user to create a new quote meeting room, execute the overbooking process and link both records

User experience enhancement to ensure fewer manual updates are necessary between the Quote Product and Quote Meeting room objects
